Piano Bench Makeover

My fiance's dad works for a church, they get a lot of furniture donated. I saw this little piano bench and thought it would make a perfect coffee table since our living room is so tiny. I gave it a light sanding and glued appliques on each side. Then I antiqued it. Since I'm new to antiquing I've been using the American Accents Distressed Ivory kit, it comes with the paint, the stain, gloves, a sanding pad and a paintbrush but for my next project I'll probably try to be more brave and just buy the paint as I imagine it's cheaper that way! (Please excuse the chair in the background, it's where my sofa will go when we eventually purchase one).

Here is a top view of it with my favorite book in the world "Life with its sorrow, Life with its tear" that always sits on whatever coffee table I happen to have at that time:)

I'm still learning with the whole blogging thing but received some wonderful tips from fellow bloggers AND a tip on how to load the pictures from my idol Cindy from MyRomanticHome!!! Thank you to everyone for leaving such kind comments!
