It's my middle son's birthday on Monday so we decided to go up to my oldest son Michael's place in Los Angeles for the day. I was very shocked to find Michael had grown a beard in the few weeks since I'd last seen him...he wasn't allowed facial hair when he worked at Disney so he's enjoying the freedom he has now that he works at Starbucks.
He would not leave that thing alone! There's my darling hubby who spent his entire day off taxi-ing us all around:)
He was scratching at it again but caught me snapping a picture and quickly put his hands down.
My little man Christian playing guitar here and one of Michael's room mates in the background. His name is Austyn and we've known him since he was a little guy. He's now a professional skateboarder and you name it, he's been there...he travels all over the world!
My Nicky turns 20...where did the past 2 decades go...sniffle sniffle.
Getting all three together is quite a feat, I feel like an air traffic controller trying to coordinate it. Our plan had been to have the entire day together but Michael got asked to cover for someone so he was at work until 2:30. We said ok, that's fine we'll just head out there later...only to find out Christian had to be back before 6 to play a show with his band. It was quite a whirlwind day as we're pretty far from L.A., throw in some traffic and you're looking at well over an hour each way.
So I got a whopping hour and a half with all three but hey, I'll take what I can get! My youngest son Christian is going through a rough time, his girlfriend of 2 plus years is battling lymphoma. He spends most of his time with her and gets bogged down with guilt when he does anything else. It wasn't easy getting them to just stand without poking each other and being silly!
They're actually all the same height but were standing on a hill here, then Michael stood on his tippy toes to make himself even taller:)
Nicky's always been a sleeper, when he was a baby he would nap for hours and hours...I'd have to go and wake him up. He can still fall asleep at the drop of a hat and slept all the way home.
I do miss the days of them being little but seeing the young men they are now is so much fun.
I love you my little men!!!

You really have some handsome fellas there...YOu are just surrounded by them LOL. I like the beard, he wears it well.
3 handsome sons! I'm so glad you were able to get even a small amount of time in with all 3 of them. With everyone's schedules I know that can often be easier said than done.
I'm with you on wondering where the last 2 decades have gone. Weren't my kiddoes just babies last week? For that matter, wasn't I just 30 years old last week?
Wishing you a lovely day.
Love,
Patti
Dearest Victoria,
Glad this did work out for however brief time spent together!
If your son opts for his scratchy facial hair; let him enjoy his pirat look! At high see it was a convenience I guess but for Starbucks?
It could be a lot worse with your little men!
Love to you as a proud Mom!

You are so lucky to have 3 handsome sons! I'm glad you got to spend time with all of them, even it was cut short.
Would you look at those (3) handsome men! Looks like you have done a great job raising them!
As the kids get older and have lives and wives of their own it becomes increasing harder to see them. Schedules around holidays can become difficult too when there are two families for them to visit. LOL LOL
Great looking family!!
They are so handsome Victoria!
I guess when I tell my princess that the good guys are still out there I guess they are in CA!!

awww you're the proud momma! look at all your handsome boys all grown up! Happy Birthday to Nicky, he does like to sleep! hehe i can understand how hard it is to get together when everybody has grown up and have their own things/jobs to do, i'm so sorry to hear about christian's girlfriend, i hope she'll be ok! my mom always wanted all her children get together at least once a year, but so far, it never happened but hopefully this year i can go back home once i have enough money and get together with my other siblings :)
xx susan
